THE 11th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit (23 December 2010, Istanbul)

1. General

The 11th Heads of State and Government Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will be held under the main theme “The Mid-Term Evaluation of the ECO 2015 Vision Document” in Turkey, Istanbul Çırağan Palace, on 23 December 2010. Prior to the Summit, the Senior Officials Meeting (20-21 December) and the 19th Council of Ministers Meeting (22 December) will also take place. Along with the Heads of State and Government of member states, representatives from ECO Secretariat, ECO subsidiary organs and a number of international organizations are expected to attend the meetings.
2. Accreditation
Members of the press who wish to cover the meetings should apply for accreditation to the address below in person, by fax or by e-mail by Saturday, 18 December 2010 at 12:30 at latest.
a)Members of the national press should legibly fill in the enclosedaccreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their press card. (Media members without press card should apply with a letter of authorization from theirmedia organization and a copy of their official ID cards.)
b)Resident members of the foreign press in Turkey should legibly fill in the enclosedaccreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their press card.
c)Members of the foreign press coming from abroad should legibly fill in the enclosedaccreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their local press card, a letter of authorization from theirmedia organization, and a copy of their passport.

3. Accreditation Cards
Members of the press should collect their accreditation cards in personbeginning fromMonday 20 December 2010 from the Press Desk to be set up at Istanbul Conrad Hotel, upon presentation of a photo ID card.
4. Other points
The Press Center at the Çırağan Palace will be operational on 22-23 December 2010.
Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and Anatolian News Agency (AA) are the Official Broadcaster of the Summit.
