The CICA Turkish Chairmanship is deeply concerned by the recent armed clashes at the border area between the Kingdom of Thailand, a member of the CICA and the Kingdom of Cambodia, currently an observer and an applicant for membership to the CICA. It is most unfortunate that these clashes have reportedly resulted in loss of lives and destruction of property.

The CICA Turkish Chairmanship appeals to both countries to take effective measures for a peaceful solution in line with the Declaration on the Principles Guiding Relations Between the CICA Member States.
